10 September, 2009, London -- Kaplan, the global provider of lifelong education services, has announced that it will combine its English language and university preparation programs into one business unit under the Kaplan International Colleges name.

Kaplan International Colleges (KIC) are joint educational partnerships with top UK universities that deliver academic programs to prepare students for entry to higher education degree programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Kaplan’s English language schools have previously operated under the name of Kaplan International Colleges.

The merger and rebranding will occur formally on 1 January, 2010 and the newly combined organisation will be led by David Jones, named as CEO of Kaplan International Colleges.

Jones said, “Bringing these two businesses together under one brand allows Kaplan to offer a more comprehensive range of high quality programs, a wider choice of study locations for students and a more global reach in student recruitment".
